2 min readFeb 16, 2020
After a great experience in Week 1 and Week 2 I was looking forward to this week. This week was all about the scholarships and opportunities.
My mentor Parina Mam told me to keep practicing on Coding front mostly on DP (Dynamic Programming) and Graphs. She also told me learn a few new frameworks on Front-end Web development like React-Js.
As far as opportunities are concerned I come across these:
- Code Jam to I/O for Women 2020 : The 2.5 hour single-online round will start in 24 hours on Saturday, February 15 at 15:00 UTC. The top 150 from the round will get a ticket to Google I/O.
- Google Hash-Code : Hash Code is a team programming competition, organized by Google, for students and professionals around the world. You pick your team and programming language and we pick an engineering problem for you to solve. This year’s contest kicks off with an Online Qualification Round, where your team can compete from wherever you’d like, including from one of our Hash Code hubs. Top teams will then be invited to a Google office for the Final Round.
- Intuit Augment — Inspiring NextGen Technologists : Intuit is inviting young women technologists to be part of a mentorship program. This is in-line with our commitment to power prosperity amongst young engineers to be industry-ready with guidance from domain experts. The mentorship program is specifically designed to equip budding women engineers to develop core competencies and compliment their career aspirations.
As far as Scholarships are concerned I come across these:
- Women tech maker scholarship: Women Techmakers Scholars Program is offered every year by Google to female students across the world, to encourage women to step in and excel in the field of computing and technology. This scholarship is open for all females enrolled at an accredited university and having a good GPA. Scholarship students will recieve scholarship, retreat and community.
